Title: I am sorry for not postin...

I am sorry for not posting this sooner. I was keeping Itchy company all Saturday and Sunday we actually had time enough to drive to Bozemman for a days of shopping and to see a movie (the 1st time we did any of this since Itchy's illness). Believe me, we needed it.

Itchy had been trying to remove the staples all last week. I had to have the vet place some kind of bandage wrap on him in an attempt to thwart his goals. It worked for a few days, then he managed to remove it somehow and pull out a staple! I put the wrap back on him and kept a sharp eye on him. He kept loosening the wrap and shredding parts of it. He finally loosened 3 more staples Thursday night, so I made an appointment to have a new wrap put on him for Friday evening.

Donna had to take Electra to the vet Friday as she was not going to the litter box again. She had to leave her with the vet as she had some stool packed in again and needed an enema again. She is home now and hopefully doing better again. The latest set of x-rays shows that her small intestines are not as thicken as before, so I guess that is progress there.

I brought in Itchy about 4pm on Friday and after a quick exam (he is now 11.25 lbs down from 15 in April) they decided that the 11 days the staples were in were enough and they wanted to remove them 2 days early as opposed to a new wrap. So he had them removed yesterday.

He is quite a bit happier now without them too. He still has diarrhea though, I believe for the 10th or 11th day. The vet I not yet really concerned though, and I call them every day to tell them. It has firmed up a bit, but is still diarrhea though. He also has been drinking a log out of the fountain since the surgery. I called them again this morning to tell them again on tat also.

Over all he is doing better I think. In the next 2 or so weeks he goes I for a new GI barium series to see if the duodenum has started to return to normal size. Assuming it has we will be starting chemo in the next 30 days.

Title: The last 2 nights David l...

The last 2 nights David let me out of the bedroom! Hamlet and I played all night. I was so nice to be running around the house again, I missed it badly. I spent most of the nights in the loft laying on the condo looking out the windows (the views that cam 1 usually shows).

My stomach still feels funny though. Where I was cut open sometimes itches a bit.

Oh, I asked David to move one of the camera’s into the bedroom so I can be seen more now. I hope he does it soon.
