Title: Today Jake (the dog that ...

Today Jake (the dog that comes by all the time) chased down a ground squirrel at our house. Donna went outside and gave him a dog bisect to calm him. He then went right back after the squirrel and killed it then ate it. Donna is not happy with him and does not want to give him food or ply with him any more now.

I know I am sad by this, I have been trying to feed that squirrel for a while now, and he was learning he could get seeds on our deck. I have only ever seen one ground squirrel around the house, so now we have none.

Title: Last evening there was no...

Last evening there was no couch in the house. It was sent out to have something fixed on it. It is a new couch and there was something wrong. So David brought me in his room with him while he worked. Itchy was in the room, but left me alone because David was watching over me. As the evening went on he stopped working at the computer and laid down on the bed next to me and read a book. I curled up against him. Before he went to sleep he put me back out though. I hate it when I cannot sleep with him, but he switches me off with Itchy every other night. Since Itchy is sick, I guess that is fair.

David told me I am going to see the vet this afternoon. He is worried because I have gained too much weight and though he cut back my food amount a while back I am not losing weight. He also wants a new Phenobarbital level test and a liver test done. I hope I am given a clean bill of health.

Each year about 10 million cats and dogs end up in U.S. shelters; 5 million will be put to sleep. That's one cat or dog every 6.3 seconds.

Each dog and cat is guilty of failing to find a loving home; but you can make a difference. Support TNR, adopt your next pet from or support a no-kill shelter.
