The hour or 2 on either side of sunrise and sunset are when they seem to start moving. On rare occasion I can see them any time of day or night though. It's getting to where I hate driving at night and I have to do so much of it. John
There was about 7 or 8 on the dirt road near home last evening and this morning a young one almost ran into my car. I think the sunrise time has moved enough that the morning route from the late to the hills for them now spans my morning commute. I look forwatd to summer when they are no longer at the same time.

5 or 6 deer on the way home last night, hours before dark. They were far enough off the highway but it's unusual to see them that time of day. John
They're extremely rare here. I've only seen 2 or 3, which is an average of less than one every 10 years. Then again, I've seen 2 or 3 killed along the road. That had to be an unusually large fox I saw and I saw it clearly enough not to mistake it for anything else. Whatever it was carrying for breakfast was at least baseball sized but I couldn't get a good look at that. John
oh i wish i couldve seen that!
Foxes are great. I see them enough out here that I think they are common here. I saw one run across the dirt road leaving our development yesterday morning. I have never seen them carrying food though!
Rabbits are overly common here. I think I see them almost every day.
