I never catch anybody there! John
hey! i finally saw one of the cats on your computer room couch!
I remember when Copycat stayed on your deck. It was easy enough when I had outdoor cats. Just put the food out in the morning and take it in at night. With these cats, I can only get there once a day so I need to determine how much food they'll eat without leaving leftovers for the racoons. Not that I would mind the racoons eating but I really can't afford to start feeding all the forest creatures. The kittens got all they wanted but last night I was there a little late so it wouldn't surprise me if the racoons got a bit of a treat.
Don't feed them. You do not want to have them taking the food from the kitties. Just my opinion from the days when Copycat was on our deck.
David and the CoolCyberCats
My Dad used to live way out in the woods in a very quiet, peaceful and heavily wooded area. When he died, he left 4 kittens still living there. Of course, I've been going out every day to take care of them till I can find them a home.
Yesterday when I went to feed and water them it was 98 degrees and not a breath of breeze in the air but the kittens didn't seem to mind that. It'll be 100 today.
As I sat watching them eat, a good hour or so before sundown, a group of 4 raccoons came walking up to the porch steps, looked at me with some irritation, and slowly wandered away. I realized that this was what they did every evening. When the cats were through eating the raccoons would come up and finish what was left. I don't know whether to start feeding them less or putting the leftover food back before I leave. John
Thank you, Tiger and Katja. John
