Perhaps it will warm up enough this week to do the painting?

I could see on your webcam it was snowing this morning.  We had one really beautiful day, then right back to chilly and rainy.  That day I finally put my ladders back up.  So I've got 2, way overpriced gallons of paint just sitting in the way till next year.  Cheri brought in all her cacti for the winter and piled them all up in front of where I kept the de-icer, so I have to dig them back out.  I have no idea why she has such a thing about cactus, but it's one thing we do not have in common.  John

Speaking of weather - check out the warning and the weeks weather (image attached)!:

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING
THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to
13 inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, southwest and west
central Montana.

* WHEN...From Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult from Friday night
through Saturday morning. Areas of blowing snow could
significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind chills as low
as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as
little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...After a period of relatively quiet
conditions from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning,
another storm is expected to impact the Northern Rockies from
Friday night through Saturday afternoon.

I am not ready for that cold. My coat is not out!

This house is OK from the top down but not from the bottom up.  The kitchen floor is a wreck and needs replaced.  I had started doing some painting outside on the trim around the house and didn't even get one side done when the wet weather hit.  For 4 days now it's been chilly and rainy, although not yet quite down to freezing.  I've still got ladders laying up against the house because I still expect some nicer weather...but I'm not counting on it.  I didn't mind climbing up and down the ladder but to paint above the electric lines, I had to get up on the roof and hang over the edge to see what I was doing.  I wasn't crazy about that.  I actually kind of enjoy this weather, but you can't paint in it.  I hardly got started and I may already be done for the year!  John

I love it here honestly. Our weather is not that nasty. Yeah, we got cold at times in the winter and have to deal with fires in the late summer, but it could be worse. We could get 3 feet of rain from a tropical storm or get hail all the time. ;)

Right now the cats are all out of sorts. We just ofund a roof leak that has done some nasty damage to the wall of the bathroom. We have had the areas pulled out and the roof on the house is old and the morons who did our addition 12 years ago did not do the roof right, so we have to replace the whole thing now. This has been the most expensive summer/autum I ever had for home repairs. At least insurance will be into part of the damaged and molded wall cost.
