If you do get one in the spring, I wanna see how it looks on Piggy and tell us how he likes it.
I saw one of those at the local store where I get his supplies. I very nearly got one and I still might. The only reason I haven't is because I have visions of trying to put it on him. He's surprisingly flexible, surprisingly fast, and has surprisingly tiny legs. I used to take my cats out on a leash. They fought like well, wildcats when I put the collar on until they learned to associate the collar with going outdoors. Then they put up with it. Either way, they hate cold, so I've got till spring to make up my mind to do it. John
They make harness and leashes for Guines Pigs! You should walk him in the yard from time to time (after getting him used to wearing it of course).
No, the pen is right outside the door and I bring it inside. There's space in the living room, just not enough to keep it in here. He also has a wire pen with no floor and a few times last summer I let him out in the grass, but it makes me too nervous watching for hawks and whatever. If we ever have a bad wind storm I'll have to bring it inside anyway. Even weighted down it's too susceptible to blowing away. John
Piggy does not go in the pen ON the porch, right?
Today it's cloudy but just cold. Nothing has come down. The wind and humidity make it feel worse. We keep Piggy's big pen out on the front porch. It's about 4 feet or so in diameter but the whole thing probably doesn't weigh more than a pound so I put a rock in it to keep it from blowing around. The day before yesterday it blew away anyway. Cheri spotted it about 2 blocks away against a neighbor's tree, so I had to walk down and get it and bring it back. I don't know where the rock is. (It wasn't really very big and apparently not big enough.) So, I put a heavier piece of steel in it and at least for now, it's still there. John
