remember how I have told you how loud APollo can be and how he screams? I have said he is the loudest cat I know and he scares his vet too. He uesed to do this 1 or 2 times a week when he was alone. Now he wanders to a few places in the house and does it MANY MANY times a day and night. I really think he is screaming out for his sister. If you go up to him or he looks up and sees you he stops then and there and will give a little "mew" and come to you. I have tried to catch it for a while to play for you. 30 minutes ago I heard him start and I grabbed the cell phone and turned it on record. I missed the forist 10 or 15 seconds where he STARTS soft and works his way up in volume. Near the end of this he looks up and sees me down the hall, mews a few fines and comes to me. Now keep in mind I am on the couch and he is 30+ feet DOWN THE HALL. This volumne is over that distance. (then consider he likes to stand on my chest in bed and do this till I pet him and imagine being 5 inches from it).

I love Apollo so much and it kills me how upset he is over not finding ^Orion^, ^Nova^ and ^Andromeda^.

Oh my god, I started playing that and Van Gogh came running over to check out the computer!  It really is heartbreaking when they're obviously upset about something.  I'm glad you can make him feel better when you come around.

Van Gogh by contrast, is the quietest cat I've ever known.  It's extremely rare that she even purrs and then it's very quiet.  Piggy makes a lot more noise than she does.  John

It does break my heart when he does that, and it is a lot now. Sunday morning he sat in the bedroom at 3:30am and did that like 5 times in a row. That was my rooster crow I guess that day as I did not get back to sleep.

I bet Van Gogh was wondering what the blazes that was! :)

Van Gogh occasionally hears cats "dating" outside and she'll run from window to window trying to find the source.  It must have confused her coming from the computer.  Whenever one of the phones ring she comes running up to check it out.  She doesn't pay as much attention to them as she used to but she still comes around and sniffs at the phones till we answer it.

On my old Windows phone, (now defunct) there was a cat ringtone that sounded like 3 or 4 kittens meowing.  That ringtone worked like magic on all cats!  Several times when Van Gogh would get out of the house and hide outside, I'd walk up and down the street playing it over and over till she came out of hiding.  Worked every time.  Several other times when somebody had a cat hiding under an empty house, we used it to draw their cat out, and it always worked.  I need to try to find one like that on my Android, in case of emergency.  John

Funny, I still use a Windows phone. ;) What OS version did you have on your old one? And you can likely connect it to your PC to get the ringtone out of it and then push it to your new phone. ;)
