Hi John David and Peggy Everything is quiet in Knoxville I didn't do anything on Christmas and don't plan to do anything on New years  but I hope you all have safe New Years people like to set off fireworks here and I don't like that but there possible rain so maybe that will delay them doing it it is illegal but nothing is done about it. Claire seems to be doing better eating and moving better so that makes me happy. I am going to see 2 shows in January but that is it for me. Take Care Tim

Hi Tim, David and John.  Tim very happy to hear Claire is doing better. No plans for me for tonight.  Just staying in and celebrating with Laila.  Sure one year I'm glad to see go!  Suppose to get a lot of snow starting tomorrow morning, so we will see.  Was suppose to go to my sister's for the day but staying put.

Hope everyone has a safe New Year's and a happy and healthy one!  Peggy and Laila

Hey everybody!  I'm so glad to hear Claire is doing better!

I do have to work tonight.  In 50 years I can probably count the number of New Year's Eves I've missed on one hand, usually canceled for weather.  Last year, freezing rain started before we even got torn down and the ride home was crazy.  An hour's drive took an hour and a half.  This year, the weather's just been nuts.  You can usually count on New Year's Eve getting down around zero.  This year, the high is supposed to be 59 today and 30 tonight.  But...tonight we get freezing rain, snow tomorrow, and down to 9 tomorrow night.  The freezing rain isn't supposed to hit until a couple of hours after we're done so if I'm lucky, I may beat it home.

I imagine the fireworks will start up tonight.  (They did on Christmas.)  Thankfully I'll miss that.  Never quite understood the idea of celebrating anything good by blowing something up.

I do wish I could just sit back and play on the computer tonight but I'd feel weird if I missed a New Year's Eve working somewhere and I can't sneeze at the money.  Hope everybody has a great night!  John

John, safe trip and have fun playing and safe return.

Peggy, I hear you will get snow now? I guess our weather worked it's way east. Keep warm (our HIGH today was 0f and low tonight will be about -20f).

I hope you will be safe traveling too John freezing rain or ice always concerned me more when I had to drive in it. Luckily we don't get a lot of snow ice freezing rain we are in a valley and it does not usually get to Knoxville. I hope you will be safe too Peggy and that nobody loses power. And I forgot to say that I hope you are feeling better David. I did hear some some fireworks just when I started this messge but they were distant and the city does do a New Years party with fireworks but I can stand them as it about 5 miles from my house at World's fair park.
