Happy birthday Beany, wherever you are!
It used to be that Van Gogh used to sleep in my face during the winter but never during the summer. Now, she sleeps in my face every night. She lays her head on my arm and puts her paws against my chest, usually tangled in my beard, then sleeps for 20 or 30 minutes, then gets up and goes away. I usually go to sleep during this time then wake up after she's gone. Only one other cat used to sleep in my face like that, Socks. Socks and I had an unusually close relationship. The only thing about Socks was, when he'd yawn in my face, it was really awful and I used to try to synchronize my breathing with his. Poof used to sleep on my hip or between us. Jackson Galaxy says it's because she loves me and trusts me and feels safe with me. I hope so.
