Well, Fall finally fell on us like a brick.  We had a couple of hot days then, boom!  Overnight the temperature dropped below freezing.  The next day was above freezing but it was windy and rainy and cold.  The leaves suddenly changed colors and the wind and rain blew them off the trees.  The streets are covered in leaves.  I had to be somewhere early yesterday morning and there was ice on the windshield.  I don't mind the Fall weather too much but a little transitional weather to kind of ease into it might have been nice.  John

Our fall hit and went last week. I think we are in what you would think of as winter weather, but it is really fall weather here. Last week we had snow Sunday and Monday here. It brought the snow line down to the top of town. My view Tuesday on the way home. It has been in the 20's at night and 30-40 in the day now. The deciduous trees flipped colors and 80% dropped their foliage in like 2 days. I moved to my long sleeved shirts this week too. I don't mind. I like the change in weather and seasons. :)

Well, after a couple of days of hot, then a couple of days of cold and rain, it's settled back into more seasonal weather, 60s during the day and 40s at night.  Trees are still colorful, or as colorful as they get here.  Mostly brown, yellow, orange, and a dot of red here and there.  Most of the trees here are oak and they don't really get that colorful.  Still looks nice though.  I had to drive to Columbia this week and then to Jefferson City, and there are some beautiful sights between here and there.

I've had to be up so early so many times this week that I'm not getting enough sleep and I'm exhausted.  Maybe tonight.    John
