Has anyone heard from Peggy? Been a while since she was here and I sent her an email the other week but never heard back. :/ I hope she is okay.

No I sure haven't.  It's been disturbingly quiet lately.  John

Got an email from her and she said I could post it here:

Hi David,

Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you. Was in the hospital Feb. 11-Mar. 3 due to internal bleeding from an arthritis med for painful hip. Two of those weeks were for rehab in the hospital. Then I had outpatient rehab for a month. Then another hospital stay Mar. 30-Apr. 3 for cellulitis in lower legs that required intravenenious antibiotics. Have appt. with ortho surgeon for hip replacement next week to talk about getting it done. Not been a good year at all so far!!!  This is the reader’s digest version. Was at Northwest Community Hospital. Sister has been staying with me. Laila doing good

Thank you for keeping me posted!  A good friend of mine, (as well as Mark Goddard, "major Don West" from "Lost In Space") both just had hip surgery.  Both doing well and both glad they had it.

Glad to hear Laila is OK and I just saw Perseus on the couch.  Everybody here is OK, although Cheri hasn't been feeling well lately.  I'm OK but she woke me up about an hour ago and I couldn't get back to sleep.  I'm up 3 or 4 hours early.

Still playing a game a day of chess and thanks to John Bartholomew and Igor Smirnov I think I've improved a little.  I think I've solved my dilemma over playing my brother and his friend.  Rather than playing each one, there's something called "Hand And Brain".  I pair up with one or the other, then tell them to move a piece, (Pawn, Knight, Bishop etc.) then they choose which one and where to move it.  That way nobody gets full credit or full blame for whatever happens.  Should be more fun that way.  John
