The day before yesterday I spent hours changing a brake light in the Toyota.  It was stupid hard to get to and I even had to buy some tools I didn't have.  Then yesterday the brake light went out in the other car!  Harder than it needed to be, it was still waaay easier and I didn't need any tools at all.

It was a beautiful day, perfectly warm at 79.  A little breezy but not bad for working on a car.  Then last night about 10:00 I heard thunder and it started raining.  At 1:00 AM, I went outside to roll the garbage to the street.  The wind was painfully cold and it was snowing!  OK, wasn't expecting that.  It was 22 last I checked.  57 degree shift in about 7 hours time is a little crazy.  Was your weather that weird?  John

Wow, you guys had some up and down weather too!  Must have been part of the same cold front blowing through.  My grass doesn't seem interested in growing yet, which is OK because I'm not interested in mowing it.  My neighbor was out mowing a couple of weeks ago and I thought OK, you're just bored and can't wait for Spring.  I looked outside and he was just blowing dust all over.  I don't think I've ever been so bored I wanted to mow the yard.

Our snow didn't amount to anything.  It was just sticking to the cars at 1:00 AM, but it never stuck to the roads and if it stuck to the grass, it was gone before I saw it.  I'm still feeding the squirrels and the stray who's started coming by every day.  The squirrels have started dragging the whole corn cobs away.  I'm pretty sure they live in the trees across the street.  It's really not a busy street so I don't have to worry much about that.

Today it's a more reasonable 54 and headed into the 70s in 2 days.  I think I have this weekend off so I plan on just enjoying the 70s.  John

Our temps are still swinging up and down. I am sure it will settle to up soon.

59 yesterday and 79 today.  I got up this morning and Cheri told me she was going down to the Lake Of The Ozarks with her Mom and her 2 kids, just for something to do.  She got up yesterday feeling kind of rotten so she checked her blood sugar and it was way too low.  One snack cake later she was fine.  Today she feels great but her sugar was way too high.  She's really hard to regulate.

Last week she got a PET scan here in town and a few days ago we went in to have a consultation about it.  She likes to have me there because I generally understand more of what they're telling her.  There does seem to be a cancer on the adrenal gland but the doctor didn't seem as worried about it as I was.  Next week we go to Columbia for another consultation about the same PET scan, which seems like another wasted trip and another wasted day long visit, and another wasted fight with insurance, as we expect to hear the same thing.  Then another trip to Columbia for a biopsy, and if it does turn out to be cancer and not just a cyst, another trip to have it removed.  She has to keep an eye on the colon cancer for a few years because the doctors say it has a tendency to come back, but if we watch it, I don't think it'll be anywhere near the problem it was last time.  I do appreciate everybody bearing with me through all this.  It's been a long road.  John
