Poor Robin

Poor Robin

This morning I looked out the window and there was a robin in the grass, but I noticed a long either string or thin ribbon behind it. He got his leg tangled in it and the string/ribbon was about 10 feet long. He hopped about and it came with him. He tried to bite at it on his leg, but nothing. I decided to go out there and see if I could catch him to remove it, but when I got the door open he was gone. It breaks my heart to imagine him flying away with a 10 foot string behind him and tangled in his leg. :(

Poor little guy.  At least he's still mobile.  Maybe he can get it picked off if he has the time to work at it.

I hope so. But they all look alike, so there is no ay to tell if any of the other robins I see were him. :(

That's true, you'd never know unless you actually saw him get it off.  John
