Dementia is awful. Mom and dad both had it. :/ My thoughts are with her Tim.

Hey Tim, thanks for thinking of us.  I always wonder how you're doing.

My Mom and Dad both lived into their 80s.  I think my Dad toward the end had begun to suffer from dementia although I wasn't quite sure.  My Mom, even when she contracted brain cancer was perfectly lucid up until maybe the last week.  My grandmother lived to 96 and was beginning to get very forgetful but really never acted much out of the ordinary.  As I approach their ages of course, I wonder.  In the meantime, I'll just keep thinking.  John

Keep playing chess and in a band and do sudokus and you will help keep your mind active. :)

Hi Tim! Glad Laila's  picture brightened your day on a day you would much prefer to forget. LOL. Dealing with dementia can be very scary indeed. Guess I am fortunate that I have not had to deal with that in my family. It's always good hearing from you. Peggy and Laila

Thanks Tim!  Are you a Sodoku player?  I have a few friends who swear by it but I have no idea how it works.  (I'm not even sure how you play checkers.)  I do study chess every night, read books by the ton, play challenging stuff on the guitar every day and watch documentaries by the hour.  I'm not sure how effective all that is but I'm glad I still can.  I do all that stuff because I enjoy it rather than because I think I should.  Chess though, has become more of a quest.  I'm just determined to keep getting better at it.

Peggy, I'm friends with you on Facebook but I never get your posts.  No idea how that algorithm works.  I know David dropped out a while back.  Tim, I'll have to try to find you there.  John
