Cheri seems much better today. Karly on the other hand, was complaining about stomach aches last night and had diarrhea this morning. The days of just calling in sick at school are over. Now you need a doctor's excuse. So, to the doctor this morning. Diagnosis, Covid. Karly asked, "Will I die?" No. In fact it's not one of the more virulent strains and the doctor didn't think she was contagious as long as she didn't have a fever. That's new to me. A virus that isn't contagious unless you've got a fever? She goes back to school Tuesday.
I haven't touched her of course, but I've touched pretty much everything she has in cleaning up after her. Toys, hair brushes, making her bed, throwing her clothes in the laundry, picking up trash, stuff like that.
I don't think I've ever had Covid, although I may have. Last January while visiting Cheri in the hospital, and during some serious weather changes, I got really sick in a way I never had been before. My skin looked dehydrated, I had no energy and no appetite, not eating for days on end. Whatever it was, nobody else got it. John
