That's so great!  Tucson is really, really lucky!  Hiding under a car hood is almost certain death.  My Dad used to have to check under his car hood and on his tires every time he wanted to start the car.  Kittens would crawl up in there to get warm.  My new outdoor cat likes to hide under my car and I have to be especially careful whenever I go somewhere.  You taking in Tucson almost certainly saved his life!

I know how it is not being able to say no.  For Cheri, it's not so hard.  The outdoor cat would probably be indoors by now but I'm not sure how Van Gogh, who's been alone all her life would handle a new invader.  She has enough trouble dealing with the dog, whom she rarely sees.  The dog only gets the run of the house a couple hours a day, but she doesn't like it.  The dog is just way too hyperactive so they'll never get to know each other.

There's always something going on here but I try not to load everybody down with it.  The weather suddenly took a dive from the 90s every day to the low 70s and down to 60 at night.  My last outdoor job is tomorrow night at a motorcycle rally next to the Missouri river.  Tomorrow is supposed to be between 60 and 70, so probably a little cool to be playing when we get done.  I told Paul, no outdoor jobs in October!  The weather can be anything between 98 degrees and snow.  The last 2 years we've done this it's been chilly and rainy, not great weather for motorcycle rallies.  John

Uncomfortable with this post I am making, lots of emotion rolled into it.

I have not gotton along will with donna in a long time and we finally split. she left the state now and I got a new home and will now need to clear out our old home and get rid of a lot of stuff in it that she did not take. Perseus was more bonded to her than me since he always slept with her and all the other kitties slept with me, so she took him. I have hasa new cat since early this year but have had be keep quiet on all this to honor her wishes. Now that she has left, I thought it best so say this is why the couch cam is frozen to the other day, there is no couch there now and Perseus is gone (which breaks my heart), I miss him very much.

I will eventually set up a camera in the new place, but the Hauser lake cam will come down when that house is cleaned out, cleaned and sold. Though I love that home and will miss the views, in my 60's I am not crying over not having to manage 20 acres of land, driving there in snow and such. I will be remaining in Helena and my new kitty is Angel. I kept her name that she had when I adopted her. She was an owner turn-in with her brother because their home burned down and the owners could not keep the kitties. Sadly, her brother was adopted alone a month before I decided to adopt a new kitty. She is almost 2 now and about 7.8lbs. She loved playing with leather strings.
