Whoa David, you really got slammed. If you're coughing up blood you've at least got bronchitis. I mentioned a little while ago that the change of seasons is great for getting sick. It got pretty chilly here for a while, then the last couple of days it's been hot! Tomorrow, chilly again. Good weather to get sick in and of course, I have to work extra this week. So far I've been very fortunate. I meet so many people, a lot of whom want hugs and a lot more who want to shake hands. How I missed Covid I'll never know. At least I think I missed it. Are you seeing a doctor about that cough?
Tim, I well remember Shailene and that awful pain of loss. When I was feeding my colony, I took so many in for spay and neuter, that the clinic actually gave me a discount. Thankfully, I never lost one but I was a nervous wreck every time. All the cats I took in were older, and I don't know whether that made it more dangerous, or less. Van Gogh has never been spayed. I've heard that spaying can be healthier but I also have the fear and dread of putting her through that. Since she's the only cat in the house, kittens are not a concern.
Cheri had her scan a few days ago and everything looks great. She has another scan in 3 months. It'll be 5 years before we can be sure it's not coming back. Karly has opted to move back with her Dad, which means she's going to another school now. Apparently she was generally happier here, but where she goes to school now doesn't have school on Mondays, and that just sounded too good to pass up. I'm hoping she's safer there. It's a tiny town and there are only 15 students in her class, which is unimagineable to me. We miss her but she's still here for her 3 day weekends and whenever school is out. We've already got this Christmas covered, and I'm sure there'll be more. I love being Santa Claus. John
