24 years ago today, I lost the Poof.  It's hard to imagine it's been so long.  Poof was the start of so much.  She was the first of countless cats that I've cared for and loved over the years.  She was the first of countless cats whose lives would have been short and miserable without her influence.  She opened me up to a world of countless websites, unexpected education, and human friends that after all these years I still talk to and count as some of the sweetest people on Earth.
