A couple days ago after I'd fed Taylor, an hour or so later I saw an orange and white cat checking out her food can.  Last night I had to work an early job down on the Lake and I was home by midnight, which is really rare.  At first I didn't see Taylor but by the time I got my stuff out of the car, there she was, so she got an extra meal.  A couple hours later I looked outside and saw one of the biggest raccoons I've ever seen in my life, wandering around where I usually feed Taylor and right outside the back door.  He didn't pay much attention to me and just wandered off.

I fed Taylor as usual this afternoon.  Tonight we went out to dinner, then took Karly for a ride through the park to see the Christmas lights.  It was truly a dazzling display, then through downtown which was also well lit up.  When we got home though, it was lightly raining but I didn't see Taylor.  Always worries me when I don't see her.  A lot of times I may get home at 3:00 or 4:00 AM and she'll be there looking for extra treats, so when she's not, of course that's a concern.  John

More light rain today but Taylor was there waiting for me.  Haven't seen any more visitors since Saturday night.  She gets about half dry food and half canned, but she seems to prefer the dry.  Curiously, Van Gogh is the same way.  Piggy and everybody are doing fine.

A friend of mine had 2 guinea pigs and lost them both overnight.  No idea what happened, especially to lose them both at once.  John

I'll take a guess that if they lived together for a long time, one goes an the other follows quickly from grief. :(

That's something I hadn't considered.  Guinea pigs are notoriously fragile.  I don't know any of the details about how they lived.  The wrong food, too cold, something in the air, all can be a problem.  John
