Taylor is still doing fine.  Today I took food to her house and found her sitting comfortably on the seat of the riding lawnmower.  The seat is vinyl and I'd think it would be cold but there she was, instead on inside her house.  Of course, the weather was much warmer today, 30 degrees, and I guess that was fine with her.  She ran a little way away as I entered the lean-to.  I filled her empty food cup in her house and for good measure, I put extra on the lawnmower seat.

We get more snow tonight, one to 3 inches predicted, which means anywhere from a dusting to a foot.  Tomorrow, 32 and more snow.  Could be worse.  37 on the day I go back to work.  John

Glad she is fine. Perhaps her on the mower seat is her way of saying she expects a warm sprint and lots of growing grass.

How are you feeling today? Any better?

We are expecting a dusting of snow today and tomorrow, but here that could be 1 flake or 5 inches.

Temps still a bit higher than usual for here. Will be 39f today. I just hope the weather does not attempt to make up for the mild weather later this or next month.

They were expecting one to 3 inches of snow last night so of course, we got about 4.  We were warned not to go anywhere today as the streets are a mess.  The high got to about 33 today but it's already cooling off.  36 tomorrow.

I'm actually feeling a little better today.  Sinuses are still a wreck and still have a nasty cough but the sinuses are now the worst of it.

Taylor was waiting close to her normal spot today, but under the car where there was no snow.  So, I fed her under the car.  I can easily see under the car so I don't have to worry about her if I have to go anywhere.  I wish she weren't quite so afraid of me but I suppose excess caution around humans is not an altogether bad thing for an outdoor cat.  I didn't look today but yesterday there was a light dusting of snow on her house.  Not well enclosed, the lean-to has a lot of leaks and places for the air to blow through and of course, one end is completely open.  Still, especially with her house, it's much better than being completely exposed.  John

I had to play down on the Lake last night.  Still being sick, I wasn't much in the mood, but I didn't feel just too bad.  I had stupidly forgotten to clean off the car before I left so I had to do it at the last minute.  Less snow and more ice on the windshield wipers than I expected.  The streets around my house were a frozen mess but the highways were perfectly clear.  For some reason, my microphone kept shocking me whenever I'd get too close, which was a little offputting.  I didn't even have to touch it, just get too close.  It wasn't a serious zap, just a sharp sting now and then but it makes you more than a little leery of it.

When I went out to feed Taylor, I didn't see her, but as I was loading the car, there she was.  So, I fed her again.  When I got back, 7 or 8 hours later, there she was again so of course, she got more food.

Today, I fed Taylor but never saw her.  Tonight it's supposed to get down to 8 degrees, so I got out and went grocery shopping, dinner with Cheri at Perkins, then gasoline for this weekend's trip to Kansas City.  When we got back, Taylor's food was gone, so I left out more.  I hate to see it get so cold tonight.  Tomorrow's high is 22 and it won't break freezing for the next few days.  Naturally, I worry about her, but she shouldn't get hungry.  John

Hope you get well soon now. Glad Taylor is getting food and seems well.

It will go below zero here on Saturday. I think for just a few days, but there is our usual temps.

Everybody tells me that whatever I've got just hangs on and on.  Cough is better but sinuses are still a wreck.

Went out to feed Taylor today and she was sitting on a chair in the Sun, although it was only 22.  I had to go back out later and fed her again.  This time she was again sitting on the lawnmower seat, but out of the corner of my eye I saw something move.  It was another gray and white cat.  He took off running like a bat out of a lean-to.

Tomorrow night is supposed to be 3 degrees.  Saturday when I play Kansas City, it's supposed to be 29 and 13.  I think I should have moved to Hawaii.  John
