Hey Tim! So great to hear from you. Even if nothing much is going on, I worry when I go very long without hearing from someone.
I mow the yard too, but it's a big yard and takes hours to mow, (especially when I take a few breaks). The weather has been hot and muggy, and it seems to rain every few days, which makes the grass grow like a rainforest. All I have is a push mower now and the grass has gotten too tall and thick, so tomorrow I'm having someone over to mow it. I mowed it last time but it's too much for that mower now. Seems like it's either raining or I'm working, and it's been getting away from me.
Cheri's last MRI came back clear, which was a huge relief, although we need to keep a close eye on it in case anything comes back. She doesn't always feel great but she amazes me with all the running around she does, shopping and running her mother around. She went yard saling the other day, (too early for me) and bought me a beautiful, large chess board.
The oldest grandson is doing fine, although he temporarily got laid off his job. (I don't even know what he does now.) They said they ran out of orders and would have him back when they got more.
The younger grandkids are doing great, and spending a little more time with their Dad since they're out of school.
Van Gogh is her cranky self, and still goes to bed with me every night, although with the hot weather she doesn't stay as long. Piggy is his usual squeaky self and seems to relish loves and skritches when it's breakfast and dinner time. The dog Sway, is doing fine and has so much energy, I have no idea where it comes from. Taylor, my outdoor friend is great and seems to be hanging around more lately, and getting very slightly braver about me being around.
We'll be going on a short vacation to Branson soon. It's maybe 150 miles off. One of the grandson's friends will take care of his dog. (The dog visits him occasionally,) Cheri's son will be housesitting and taking care of Van Gogh, Piggy and Taylor. All 3 grandkids are going with us.
Please keep us up-to-date, even if there's not much going on. There's not much going on here either, but I talk about it constantly. John
