Hey you all Sorry I haven't been posting there just isn't nothing going on to speak of It is now summer here and hot and I mow the grass weekly is all I do besides taking care of the cats I do not like mowing in the heat of summer the 90's is just to hot and my now 66 year old legs I have to rest often I would let some else mow but every time I have had others do it they bring fleas in the yard and they come in and then they are on the cats and I can't have that and it is to expensive to treat 8 cats. So I will have to mow till I can't anymore. Hi Peggy and Laila I did see Laila had her 18th birthday so that is good and long life as a well cared for Lady and I wish you many more birthdays and How are you Peggy? How are John Cheri Karly Van Gogh and Taylor also Cheri's son or grandson and dog that was with you? And to our host David and Angel hope all is well with you too. I will try to post some more but when all I do is play solitaire card games and the daily word jumble and wonderword puzzle and mow there is not much to say. But we are all fine here me and the cats. And 1 pic of Tucson. So everybody take care. Tim

Hey Tim!  So great to hear from you.  Even if nothing much is going on, I worry when I go very long without hearing from someone.

I mow the yard too, but it's a big yard and takes hours to mow, (especially when I take a few breaks).  The weather has been hot and muggy, and it seems to rain every few days, which makes the grass grow like a rainforest.  All I have is a push mower now and the grass has gotten too tall and thick, so tomorrow I'm having someone over to mow it.  I mowed it last time but it's too much for that mower now.  Seems like it's either raining or I'm working, and it's been getting away from me.

Cheri's last MRI came back clear, which was a huge relief, although we need to keep a close eye on it in case anything comes back.  She doesn't always feel great but she amazes me with all the running around she does, shopping and running her mother around.  She went yard saling the other day, (too early for me) and bought me a beautiful, large chess board.

The oldest grandson is doing fine, although he temporarily got laid off his job.  (I don't even know what he does now.)  They said they ran out of orders and would have him back when they got more.

The younger grandkids are doing great, and spending a little more time with their Dad since they're out of school.

Van Gogh is her cranky self, and still goes to bed with me every night, although with the hot weather she doesn't stay as long.  Piggy is his usual squeaky self and seems to relish loves and skritches when it's breakfast and dinner time.  The dog Sway, is doing fine and has so much energy, I have no idea where it comes from.  Taylor, my outdoor friend is great and seems to be hanging around more lately, and getting very slightly braver about me being around.

We'll be going on a short vacation to Branson soon.  It's maybe 150 miles off.  One of the grandson's friends will take care of his dog.  (The dog visits him occasionally,)  Cheri's son will be housesitting and taking care of Van Gogh, Piggy and Taylor.  All 3 grandkids are going with us.

Please keep us up-to-date, even if there's not much going on.  There's not much going on here either, but I talk about it constantly.  John

Hi Tim. Yeah, mowing int he humidity and hear is not fun at all. Tuscon looks to be relaxed. I assume in a nice cool air conditioned house.

Hi Tim! It was great hearing from you. Yeah, I can't believe Laila is 18. I've never had a cat live that long. She's doing great and no signs at all of old age, not like her mom. LOL Since I live in a condo, I don't have to worry about mowing the grass, which is wonderful. My car is dead, so I rarely go out. There are 102 unit units in my building, so it is nice running into neighbors and chatting. We have hardly had any rain. Seems like it's staying north and south of us here in Chicago. Weather has been relatively cool, but starting tomorrow that stops and the heat and humidity will start up. Not a fan at all of that kind of weather. Take care and enjoy the kitties and tell them Laila and I say hi. Peggy and Laila

Hi Peggy, I am glad Laila is well!

I hope you get transportation soon. I just cannot imagine you like not going out at all. Is Woodfield close enough to get to?
