Internet

Yesterday we got a notice that our internet was going up about $20, then this evening the internet and the television went out and stayed out for about 7 hours.  Put quite a dent in my digital day.  That meant I missed a vote on the kitty contest, saw no videos and never played any chess.  It wasn't just us.  A big chunk of the city went out and stayed out until 2:30 AM.

I've got a bunch of movies on my computer so I hooked it up to the television and watched movies all evening and of course, got a lot of extra reading in.  The grandkids went a little buggy with no internet but most of my movies helped entertain them, and we even played a little chess with one of the kids.  John

Perhaps the price increase is to help pay for the great ufettered service.

Wait, your cell phone of one of the kids should be able to be a personal hot spot. No?

When we got a notice that the internet was going up, Cheri called to ask why.  When the internet went out the next day, she thought maybe they cut us off by mistake, but no, a big chunk of the city went out, including where the oldest grandson was working, which apparently caused some confusion.

I'm not sure what happened or even how it works, but the kids couldn't get internet on their phones either.

I've got a few serious movies on my computer, but mostly comedies, going all the way back to the Marx Brothers and WC Fields, along with a few of the newer ones like "Dark And Stormy Night", but their favorite stuff was a series called "Cosmic Cat" by Bill Hedges, about a guy and his cat who travel the universe together.  Truly a fun series.  John
