Fall

The first day of Fall was still fairly hot.  Today, the weather caught up.  A cool 68, with rain, rain, rain.  That's OK, I like the rain, as long as I'm not out in it.  I very much prefer rain to a drought.  Of course, I'm on high ground and if it ever rained enough to flood here, I'd better be building an ark.  John

It's been a crazy hot Summer here.  With all the outdoor jobs we had it was tough on me.  This first few days of Fall have been nearly perfect though.  High 60s and low 70s, although a little rainy, but that's fine.  John

It was in the upper 30's the other morning when I went to the gym (it was about 4am). Fall is upon us!

Looks like Summer is coming back.  Warmer every day for the next week, getting into the upper 80s.  A few trees here are beginning to change colors but in this area it's almost all oak, so the overwhelming color is brown.  John

That is something I miss from living in the north east, fall colors. We get a bit here, but most of our trees are not deciduous and the ones that are, fall hits fast and hard so they turn and drop in a week or 2.
