I'd never let Van Gogh near one.  She's too short tempered.

Van Gogh attacked my arm while I was asleep a couple nights ago, which is something she never did.  Left 6 small bleeding places.  As I pushed her away, she ran across Cheri's face scratching her forehead, but it didn't leave a mark.  Cheri was mad for hours.  My guess is, Van Gogh was just in the mood to play.  Cheri, was not.  All the same, aside from the razor blade claws and needle sharp teeth, I'm glad she wasn't armed.

Reminds me though, do you still go target shooting?  John

Do you trim Van Goghs claws? ANgel is the first cat who lets me without trying to get away. I can tell she is not happy I am doing it, but she lets me.

I have not been to the range in a bit over a year. I should do so again though. Perhaps after the holiday selling season I'll run by there. :)

My Dad and I used to shoot little plastic bottles at 100 feet once a week.  I haven't been shooting since he died.  I opened it up a few months ago to see if it was rusting up but no, it looked brand new.

I've never trimmed Van Gogh's claws and putting those "soft claws" on would be like trying to put them on an angry bobcat.  Van Gogh works her claws on the wooden leg of the kitchen table, which Cheri is none too happy about.

I used to trim Piggys claws, (they get really long) but the last time I did, one of them bled a bit.  I tried not to cut it too short, knowing the danger, but I still did.  Poor Piggy squealed when it happened.  I was told it wouldn't hurt anything, (aside from how it hurt Piggy) but I can't stand doing that now.  Cheri had to hold Piggy when I did it and holding him still was impossible which made it extra hard to be careful.  From now on, I've got a vet who'll do it for about $50.  I don't need to spend the money but I just can't hurt him again.  Too soft-hearted.  John
