There are a few musical mnemonics you learn pretty early, like the spaces on a musical staff spell FACE, The lines are EGBDF, which you learn as Every Good Boy Does Fine. (I actually learned it a different way but I won't go into that.)
For half a century now, I've known the strings on a guitar from top to bottom were E A D G B E. I never learned a mnemonic for it. It was just something you had to know. The other night, Karly taught me one to remember it. Eddie Ate Dynamite. Good Bye Eddie. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. John
