With the whole house to choose from, I'm not sure why they sleep next to us either.  Poof liked sleeping on my chest, but I'd inevitably roll over.  She got used to that, so I'd roll over slowly and she'd just kind of walk in place till I was on my side and lay back down.  Whether Van Gogh sleeps in my face or by my knees seems to depend entirely on the weather.  When she sleeps in my face, I wrap my arm around her.  Probably keeps her warm.  John

I wonder what makes them sleep on or next to us. Hamlet used to sleep on and against my side. Apollo likes to lay on my chest and I eventually have to push him off as I generally start sleeping on my side and him on my check makes it impossible. Andromeda sleeps against my hips or thighs and sometimes on my pelvis.

Van Gogh has stopped sleeping in front of my face since it got warm.  Now she sleeps down by my knees.  Soon as I climb into bed, she climbs in too, although she's usually out of bed before I wake up.  Then she sleeps in bed most of the day.  John

This is Van Gogh on May 12.  Between the pillows and half under the blanket on the bed.

No slight at all!    I knew Andromeda and Apollo, as well as Helo had a birthday today, but my post was yesterday morning, so a big happy birthday to them today!

As with almost all the kitties I've ever had, I never knew when their actual birthday was, so I always picked the month I figured it must have been and just make it the first of the month.  Poof's was always May 1.  (She'd be 34 now.)  Van Gogh I gave June 1.  Van Gogh is 4 now.  This is her first picture, at about 3 months.

Where does time go?! How is Van Gogh? Have a new picture to share (or put in the contest)?
