I always have my cellphone in my front pocket but it's a lot easier just flipping my wrist over than digging out my phone. I was without a watch for about 2 days when mine gave out and it drove me nuts. Bought a $15 watch and try as I might, I couldn't get it off military time! Took it back and got an $11 watch that I actually like a lot better. And I can set it! (Although I did have to look at the instructions to see how to turn the alarm off.) For unimaginable reasons, the factory had it set to go off at midnight. China's way of being passive aggressive I suppose.
I do wish I could meet everyone. With Mom gone, pretty much all ties with Illinois are gone. That was something I hadn't considered. I'll be taking everybody to Florida in just about 3 weeks so that cuts out any other traveling for a while. Takes a surprising amount of preparation for a trip like that and I've already got a checklist made out...which I haven't even started on yet, and which includes paying a few bills early and getting the car ready. John
John, that would be so awesome if you were able to come up too while David is in town! That would be so much fun.
David, funny about the watch. I don't wear one anymore as I use the cell for the time.

Congratulations! Keep me posted on your dinner. Wish I could get up there but I have no idea when I can.
A $400 watch? I just gave $11 for one yesterday and I can't imagine being 36 times as happy with it. There's no name on it. Unless you count "China". John
Sort of funny added, she said she could ask the 3rd place winner if they want to trade the prizes because they won a Citizen Eco-drive mens watch and it has a retail over $400. I had to laugh because I generally do not wear nice watches. FOr when I travel I decided to get a nicer watch about 7 years ago, and it was one of those! So I had one already.
The only restaurnt on the list I know of is Gibsons. One of my trips out there years ago, my boss took me to dinner there as there is one in Rosemont, not too far from the offce. I just hope I can auction them off in whole or individually for Buddy.

OH! MY! GOD!!!!!! That is truly unbelievable! One of my neighbors helps them out with their fundraisers and is very close with them and I was going to ask him if he could find out who won the prizes! Wait until I tell him this story!!! Jameson Charhouse may work. Not far at all from Buddy, but in the construction zone.
Funny, but I'm having lunch at Absolutely Chinese Wednesday. Will have to look up the other restaurants. Two of the main roads (Golf and Algonquin) in the area are in major construction so that will determine where we eat too. I hate Chicago traffic. And since I don't drive the tollways, I'm stuck with the local streets.
Congratulations and I'm so excited for you!!!
