A large, pink pig? When you got close, he didn't fly away did he? I guess wild pigs can grow into real monsters, but I don't think most are pink. Don't see why they couldn't be though.
That place in Kansas City is actually a "biker bar", and the noise, particularly when someone is leaving, can be horrendous. Didn't phase those deer a bit, and I don't think they'd live more than a couple trips across that highway. They must feel more at home there than I do. John
I am glad they did not go too close to the highway.
Last weekend I saw a pig grazing on the grass on the side of the road! A pig! Had to be owned since I do not believe there are wild pink large pigs out here.

On the way to Florida it was dark before I got to northern Alabama and I saw maybe a dozen deer. That was nothing compared to when I got back to the Lake Of The Ozarks. Going past the lake I estimated seeing maybe 60 deer. I didn't drive as fast as the speed limit as I was already tired and those deer obviously worried me.
Last night though, in Kansas City, I was amazed to see deer. Peggy, I don't know if you remember where this is, and I've been told it's grown up a lot over the past couple of decades, but I played at a place on the corner or 40 highway and Phelps road. It's right on the Kansas City/Independence border. The parking lot where I took my breaks is in Kansas City and the building sits in Independence. Across the highway on the Kansas City side, is a vacant lot of about an acre, covered in weeds. Beyond that is a thick grove of trees. While I was outside last night, 4 deer came wandering out of the trees and stood there for some time, just grazing. Obviously used to the urban environment, they never got too close to the highway. Such a beautiful sight in such an unlikely place. They were there the whole 15 minutes of my break. When I came back out about midnight, there was just one left. John
