When it snowed here I watched the system head straight for Chicago, but I'm surprised it took about a day to get there. On the radar it covered a huge area. The earliest I remember it snowing here, was October 14, although I don't remember what year it was. I remember it very well though, because my car broke down in the middle of nowhere when it happened. Our snow was gone by Halloween night. John
Well, Chicago broke a record snow for Halloween! Think Schaumburg got about 2-3 inches and in some suburbs up to 7 inches! Peggy

Here, it's mostly oak. Not very colorful, mostly shades of brown, but peppered here and there with bright orange or red. Last night we took Karly around "trunk-or-treating". People don't so much go from house to house anymore, but to these big deals where people give treats from the trunks of their cars, mostly put on by churches and schools. It's a lot safer, easier and quicker. Pretty chilly last night though, hovering around freezing all night. Karly is 6 and I love giving her memories that should last. She loves cats and dogs, and her memories of Halloween, Christmas and trips to Florida, or like our ride on a Mississippi riverboat, should outlast me by a long time. John
Happy halloween to you too!
All our leaves fell on the 1st snow in one fast drop. It was strange. Of course MOST of our trees here are pine, and they stay greem.
Happy Halloween! If you didn't see Fall for the 2 days it lasted, you missed it. We had about 2 days of chilly, drizzly weather and falling leaves, which had just begun to turn. Then last night it all decided to freeze and snowed a few inches. Geez I miss having a garage! John
We have had a strange weather autumn out here. Early October, parts of Montana received 4 feet of snow. Then another foot a week or so later and 5-10 inches late in October! Monday and Tuesday nights we had 5f temps! I will admit last Friday went up to 74! Then that night SNOW.
How is the weather where you are?
