Now that was funny. I do know some musician friends who tried to do some things online. (If you noticed, none of those guys were actually playing their instruments.) The online deal doesn't do it for me though. I need that crowd reaction. I still play, of course. Not to entertain myself but to keep learning new stuff. Every other day I use the treadmill and every other day I try to work out new "riffs". If things ever get straightened out, I shouldn't be too rusty.
I probably overstated the cat food problem. I mean, even if there's no cat food around, I'll make sure she doesn't go hungry. She just doesn't seem to care much for people food. She usually gets "Meow Mix" but I think she might eat other stuff, if there's anything else to be found. Peggy, I never even thought about ordering cat food online. I have ordered a few things online but I tend to still think along "brick and mortar" lines. If I need something, I go get it.
As I mentioned before, I'm something of a semi-recluse anyway. I expose myself to big crowds 2 or 3 days a week, then scurry back home to be by myself. I've often wondered, if I were suddenly wealthy, would I stop playing? Then I realize that as much as I want to get away from those crowds, in a month or so, I'd go crazy. I'd miss the yells, the applause, the people crowding around with cell-phones and the "we're now worthy" waves, and especially the amazing things people say afterward. Vain as it seems, it's really my "raison d'etre". Without that interaction, I'd just be sitting around vegetating. No matter what else happens though, as long as I have books and a computer, I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to be bored. John
