I imagine that right now, even a simple thing like hospice is hard to arrange. Got to be a little frustrating, even if it were easy to get to New Jersey, you still couldn't exactly visit. When we took Karly to see her grandmother at a nursing home, all they could do was smile, wave and blow kisses through a window. I'm all about taking my car wherever I go but I wonder, if it's even possibleto go by railroad. I have no idea what their policy may be right now, what it would cost, or how long it would take. I did once take a train, maybe 300, 350 miles then back. It was admittedly, easier than driving it and probably didn't take as long.
I guard my privacy pretty jealously but for whatever reason, I don't worry much about my cell-phone being tracked. For that matter, service in this area is so poor if anybody was tracking me, I'd often disappear! I know for a fact, I disappear whenever I make the 40 mile trip to my bank. There are certain advantages to a cell-phone, like texting, or when you're on the road and break down, or on a long distance trip like to Florida. Not to mention the games Cheri plays all the time, and mine does have a good chess game on it. In fact, texting and chess are just about all I use it for.
I remember a few years back when there was an online phone book that had all kinds of detailed information on it, like race, income, address, how long you'd lived there, etc. I checked my number and every bit of information on it was completely wrong. It had me living at my Dad's long after I had moved away, making money I could only dream of, and apparently I was black. You had to jump through a few hoops to get any information changed and I thought...nah. John
