Nice tree condo! Did you make it?

My BIL built it for me. He measured the corner where I wanted it so it fits between the windows and sliding glass door. There are 5 platforms, three of them raised, and a cradle in the middle (that's their fav). The branches are real tree branches, each one one piece from bottom to top. I glued the leaves into holes he drilled. He actually put it up on a scaffold and bolted them from underneath. The platform on the top left can be accessed to a half moon window where they like to look down into the pond off the back. My backyard is actually a meadow where there are lots of birds and butters to watch from that perch. I do have full pictures of the tree. It's at least a doz years old.

I have several tree houses myself that I'll not part with. I end up having to recarpet parts of it or resisal parts every 10 years, but it is worth it. They are 30 years old and they do not make solid ones like them anymore. The cradle level you noted, I assume it was made with a spiral wound tube (3/4" is what I always used) with a good diameter and sliced into a third. I have thought about dropping cat toys for cat trees one day. Who knows.

I've had to resisal two of them twice. The cradle isactually half of a concrete round which my husband carpeted. He also built platforms at most of our widows and carpeted them as well. We own a flooring business, so he has access to carpet and is great at installing it on the platforms. I'd love to see pics of your 30 yr old cat trees!!!
