I know the difference between the dry and humid heat, having spent 2 summer months in Arizona, but I still can't imagine the insane cold of days on end below zero. The humidity makes a huge difference in how it feels.
Peggy, I guess I lived in my last house about 30 years, and I've lived in this one about 8. Still wondering why I haven't moved to Florida!
I can also empathize with your pack rats. I'd rather eat Oreos on your deck, than nuts and seeds anywhere else. John
No wonder you want to relocate those Pack Rats!
Well, when you come to town this summer, you will get to experience the humidity of Chicago once again.

Those Pack Rats stink up the deck, why I have to catch them and relocate them. Every summer we get 1 or 2 trying to move onto the deck, and every year I have to catch them. I find they are partial to Oreo cookies over nuts or seeds. ;)
As nice as it can be out here, we get cold winters and hot summers. But, it is a dry cold and heat, which helps. :)

Such a beautiful and peaceful part of the country you live in, David. That pack rat is adorable!
Peggy, I added one more page over lunch. :)
I'll take a look. John
