Excitement

Last night as usual I was playing chess and at about 10:30, I heard sirens.  I got up to get a cup of coffee and when I got to the kitchen, it looked like daylight outside.  Then I noticed the lights were flashing.  Looking out the back door, I saw a fire truck parked in front of the neighbor's house just north of me...but no fire.  So, I got my coffee then looked back ou the back door.  Now there was an ambulance.  I could see 4 firemen just standing on their porch talking.  Then the fire truck left, but the ambulance was still there.  Having stood around gawking for about 20 minutes and not really seing much, I went back to the other room.  A few minutes later, I heard the sirens going by as they left, apparently taking someone with them.

All the sirens woke Cheri up and I had to tell her what little I saw.  People keep moving into and out of that house.  I have no idea why.  These neighbors only moved in, in December and I hadn't had a chance to do more than wave at them.  Can only hope everybody's OK.  John

I hope so also. Fire trucks also though? I wonder if someone got stuck or needed to be rescued.

The hospital is a lot closer than any of the fire departments, so I wonder if they just called the fire department first.  I didn't hang around to see what happened but when the ambulance took off with sirens blaring, I figure somebody was taken in.  John

Do they live alone or is someone still at the house?

The only time I've ever seen anybody, there were 2 younger people on the porch as I waved while driving by.  They've only been there a couple of weeks.  The lights are still on this morning, but I don't know if anybody is actually there.  John
