I just love watching the Cat House on the Kings Petco adoption room webcam. If it ever says "Public broadcast is disabled" it is because the cleaning people are/were in there and they turn it off. Sometimes they forget to turn it back on, but check back to see when it is live again. They have some of the most stunning cats up for adoption! The direcct url is: https://www.cathouseonthekings.com/video/webcam.php/2

Those are fun.  I've got one I watch in Illinois sometimes.  I should check to see if the Pet-Smart here has one but I kind of doubt it.  I take Karly with me when I go in there to get litter for Piggy and Karly loves watching the various animals.  It's usually hard to get her to leave.  They get their cats from various animal shelters in the area and routinely rotate them.  Their cats are very pricey though.

The last time we were there, Karly became inordinately attached to a gecko, named him, and started pestering me to take her across town just to see him.  "No" does not come easily to me, but with a dog, 2 cats and a guinea pig, none of which she takes care of, "No" came a little easier.  John

I've started to go more to the PetSmart here now over the PetCo, mostly becuase it is on a better side of the road to get in and out of. They had a falling out with the shelter they used to have cats from, then went to one that was like an hour drive away, but now the adoption area is empty again, so I am unsure what is going on.

We don't have a PetCo.  I get Piggy's litter from Pet-Smart but his hay from a farm store.  I do appreciate that Pet-Smart rotates between every animal shelter in the area, not just one, and not from breeders, On the other hand, I don't know where they get their other animals.  Geckos, gerbils, guinea pigs, turtles, etc.  John

Was watching the cat cam and they were all staring at the mirrored door...someone came in and started straightening up things...they weren't too thrilled except to get a few pets...so they went back to the door and were all excited...???...another person came in the three big dishes of food...wow...yippee !!! They cleaned it all with no squabbling or shoving or hissing...what good fur kids...now its "wash those faces" time probably followed by nap time !!!

Yup, every morning that happens. There are some lovely cats int he room this week too. Have you seen any on the running wheel?

Here is a secret, if you open the view up before cleaning time, when they disble the camera it does not turn off already viewing links, so you can keep it running all morning and not be cut off, but if you close the connection and it is disabled, you get the disabled text till late morning (well, about 1pm I think on the east coast). Remember, the camera is in california. ;)
