Tonight as usual, Cheri went to bed before me and after about a half hour I heard her speaking French to Van Gogh.  OK, it wasn't French.  I went in to see what was wrong and she said Van Gogh was making all kinds of racket but she didn't know where she was.  I turned on the light and could see that all the drawers in my dresser were partially open.  The top drawer was wide open.  I listened for a minute and sure enough, I heard her faintly making noise somewhere in the dresser, but I couldn't tell exactly which drawer.  Pushing them closed or opening them could hurt her so I had to be very careful.

I slowly closed each drawer listening for any protest or resistance but I didn't hear anything till I got to the next to last drawer, when I heard some dissatisfied growling.  She had worked her way all the way down from the top drawer to the very bottom, pushing each drawer out a few inches on her way down.  I slowly pulled the bottom drawer open and the growling protests got louder.  When I could finally see her, she did not seem happy to see me.  She slowly crawled out of the drawer, growling and glaring at me all the way, but the adventure was over.  John

Angel has done that here. At night when I get ready for bed I open my armoire and she jumps in it. She likes to go in there and sit or lay on my stuff.

Aside from the gray fur all over my clothes, I worry about her getting stuck in there.  To get down there, she has to get behind each drawer and push it out of the way, with a couple of those drawers fairly heavy with jeans.  Getting down there must be easier than getting back up, but I don't know.

She really did not seem happy about me letting her out, and I'm not sure how to keep her out of it.  I had a really nice dresser, that now has scratches all over it.  John

Tonight I walked into the kitchen for something and noticed the back door was part way open.  As I went to close it, I noticed the storm door was also open.  It was cold tonight and I was fairly irritated at someone having left both doors open.  Worse, as I looked outside, there was Van Gogh wandering around in the driveway.  As I called, Van Gogh slowly walked back inside.  That alone surprised me.  I think the cold air may have surprised her.  We were both lucky she didn't take off somewhere.  John

That is scary! I remember when we had first come here to Montana, Hamlet got out and was exploring behind the house, and Electra got out and we found her on the deck. Glad you found her!
