It was 70° the last two days. It's in the 20s and snowing today. Cumulation is expected up to 7 inches. I just had my studded tires for moved to my summer tires put on yesterday.

I'm nowhere near any snow, but this is pretty typical Spring weather for this area.  Thunderstorms every other day or so, and tornadoes all around.  The closest tornado was just south of Kansas City.  Most storms in this area tend to travel from southwest to northeast, and so far the worst of the storms have stayed northwest of me.  As it's tended to be lately, I get heavy rain and lightning with little wind, and that's been fine with me.

The tornado sirens went off twice tonight though, at 11:15 and 11:30 PM.  Still, it never even got very windy.  You really have to take notice when that happens.  I was practicing a little chess and watching a favorite Twilight Zone episode when it happened, and I kept the chat room open, but other than that, it's been a pretty quiet night.  John

Patty, The latest we ever received snow was near mid June. Of course it melted off fast. I had to get used to northern Rockies weather when I came here 25 years ago.

John, I do NOT miss tornadoes in any way. I"ll keep the cold and snow, you keep the twisters. ;)

2 days ago we had thunderstorms, then the cold, snow and it mostly melted at this altitude, though about 500 feet higher got about 7 inches I think. Some cars and trucks are driving around with piles of snow on them.

If I believed in "luck", I'd say we were using it all up.  About every other day we've been surrounded by tornadoes, but we hardly get any wind at all, just torrential rainfall.  Several of the downtown streets and rural roads were blocked off for flooding.  I'm on high ground here so I never say never, but flood damage to me would be a virtual impossibility.  Several nearby towns have suffered some tornado damage, the closest maybe 10 miles away.

Last night we had torrential rain, then pea sized hail, which graduated to marble sized hail.  Then it was all over, and happily, we still have windshields.  John

After we moved to Montana back in 2022, I was picking up some food and a hail storm hit. My olds was dented all up.
