Marshall Missouri is about 29 miles north of me and they had a small fair with a petting zoo.  Well, a baby kangaroo escaped and started running up a busy highway.  Thankfully, he drifted away from the highway and along a fence.  People were chasing him along the fence and there was no way they were going to catch him.  Somehow, somebody finally did.  They shared a video of his run but it was on Cheri's computer so I don't have the link off-hand.  The most interesting thing about the video, was the herd of cows on the other side of the fence.  The kangaroo would hop along for a while then stop till the people caught up, then take off again.  The cows on the other side of the fence gathered next to the kangaroo, and when the kangaroo would move, the herd of cows would follow along, stopping whenever the kangaroo stopped.  This went on a number of times.

I never would have thought a kangaroo would arouse such curiosity in a herd of cows.  People maybe, but cows?  John

I assume they did not see it as a threat (small) and were curious.

I never gave cows enough credit for curiosity, but they apparently didn't see it as a threat.  I just found out that it took them all day to catch it.  It was late evening when they did.  Now he's fine and presumably back in the petting zoo.  John
